Sellify is a conversational commerce platform built for F-Commerce businesses in Bangladesh. We integrate with Meta's platforms (Facebook, Instagram) to automate customer interactions, manage orders, verify payments, and help sellers grow their business — all through official Meta APIs.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 From Sellers (Business Users)

When you register and use Sellify as a seller, we collect:

  • Full name, email address, and contact number
  • Business name and Facebook/Instagram Page details
  • Product catalog, inventory data, and pricing information
  • Subscription and billing information (processed via secure payment gateways)
  • Dashboard usage data and analytics interactions
  • Facebook Page access tokens (obtained through Meta's official OAuth process)

1.2 From End-User Customers (Your Buyers)

When Sellify automates conversations on your Facebook or Instagram page, the following customer data may be collected on your behalf:

  • Facebook or Instagram user name and profile ID (as provided by Meta)
  • Delivery address, phone number, and name — collected during the ordering conversation
  • Product inquiries, preferences, and order details
  • Payment transaction IDs (e.g., bKash TrxID) — used only for payment verification
  • Chat messages and conversation history within your page's inbox
  • Images sent by customers for product identification (processed by our Visual AI)

1.3 Automatically Collected Data

  • Browser type, IP address, device information, and operating system
  • Pages visited and features used within the Sellify dashboard
  • Cookies and session tokens for authentication and session management
  • Webhook event data received from Meta APIs in real time

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected for the following purposes:

  • Service Delivery: Automating Messenger and Instagram DM conversations, processing orders, and generating invoices on behalf of sellers.
  • AI Processing: Running our conversational AI to respond to buyer inquiries in Bangla, English, and Banglish; identifying products from customer images via Visual AI.
  • Order & Inventory Management: Capturing and confirming orders, syncing with real-time inventory, and pushing confirmed orders to seller systems.
  • Payment Verification: Verifying bKash payments via transaction ID or merchant account sync to confirm successful transactions.
  • Fraud Detection: Analyzing order patterns to detect and block suspicious or fake orders before they consume inventory or delivery resources.
  • Customer Retention: Sending follow-up messages, abandoned cart reminders, and re-engagement campaigns — only on behalf of and at the direction of the seller.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Providing sellers with dashboard analytics, growth metrics, and real-time business insights.
  • Platform Improvement: Improving our AI models, features, and user experience using aggregated, anonymized usage data.
  • Communication: Sending service updates, policy changes, and support responses to registered sellers.

We do not sell your data or your customers' data to any third party.

3. Facebook & Meta Platform Data

Sellify integrates with Meta's platforms strictly through the official Meta for Developers APIs and complies fully with the Meta Platform Policy and the Meta Platform Terms.

  • Access: We request only the permissions necessary to operate the service (e.g., pages_messaging, pages_read_engagement). We never request your Facebook account password.
  • Token Storage: Facebook Page access tokens are stored securely and encrypted. They are used solely to send and receive messages on your connected pages.
  • Data Use Restrictions: Data obtained via Meta APIs is used only to provide the services you have requested. We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the Sellify platform.
  • Data Deletion:When you disconnect your Facebook Page or delete your Sellify account, we delete all associated Meta platform data within 30 days, in compliance with Meta's data deletion requirements.
  • No Data Resale: We never transfer Meta platform data to data brokers, advertising networks, or any third party for commercial purposes.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Meta / Facebook: As required to operate our integration through their official APIs.
  • Payment Processors: For billing and subscription management; payment data is processed by PCI-compliant providers and never stored on our servers.
  • Infrastructure Providers: Trusted cloud hosting, database, and security services that process data solely on our behalf and under confidentiality agreements.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the public.

All third-party service providers are contractually bound to protect your data and are prohibited from using it for any purpose other than providing services to Sellify.

5. Data Retention

  • Seller account data is retained for the duration of your subscription and deleted within 60 days of account closure upon request.
  • Customer conversation and order data is retained for up to 12 months to support order management, analytics, and dispute resolution, after which it is anonymized or deleted.
  • Payment verification records (transaction IDs only, no full payment details) are retained for up to 3 years for accounting and compliance purposes.
  • Meta API datais deleted within 30 days of disconnecting your page or closing your account, as required by Meta's platform policies.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • TLS/HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
  • AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest (tokens, credentials)
  • Role-based access controls limiting who can access your data internally
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Secure webhook verification for all incoming Meta API events

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we take all reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security. We will notify affected users promptly in the event of a data breach.

7. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

  • Essential Cookies: Maintaining your login session and authentication state on the Sellify dashboard.
  • Analytics Cookies: Understanding how sellers use our platform to improve features and performance (aggregated, non-personal).
  • Preference Cookies: Remembering your language and display preferences.

You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling essential cookies may affect your ability to log in and use the dashboard.

8. Your Rights

As a user of Sellify, you have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Withdrawal of Consent:Disconnect your Facebook Page at any time via the Sellify dashboard or Meta's App Settings.
  • Objection: Object to certain types of data processing.

9. Children's Privacy

Sellify is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it immediately.

Our infrastructure may process and store data in servers located outside Bangladesh, including in cloud regions operated by our hosting providers. In all cases, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data consistent with this policy.

11. Data Deletion Requests

To submit a data deletion request:

  • Include your registered email address and Facebook Page name
  • Or remove Sellify's permissions directly via Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites

Upon receiving a valid request, we will delete all associated data within 30 days and send a confirmation to your email.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or Meta's platform policies. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Notify registered sellers via email and dashboard notification
  • For significant changes, provide a 14-day notice before the new policy takes effect

Continued use of Sellify after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
